Experience the wonders of Sailing aboard Pelican on a 3 or 5-day Sailing and Kayaking Vacation. Sailing aboard Pelican, our 50-foot trimaran, is a tranquil experience. Pelican does not heel or lean like standard sailboats and the calm protected waters of the San Juan Islands insure a comfortable and pleasant ride. Pelican is a very safe vessel and has completed a world circumnavigation, logging over 50,000 sea miles. We love to sail. There is something magical about siliently gliding through the beautiful San Juan Islands, with the wind in the sails, and the gentle lapping of the waves against the hull. Our favorite sail is our bright colored spinnaker which alows us to sail in the lightest of winds. We invite you to help sail Pelican with us. You can crank a winch, help raise the sails, take the helm, or just relax and watch the scenery glide by. Kayaking Included in every tour is use of our expedition mahogany sea kayaks and the help of our experienced naturalist guide. Each day your guide will take you to the treasures that can only be seen while in a kayak. Paddle into a hidden cove... drift with a Harbor Seal... or watch sea birds as you circle a small rocky islet... each day is unique. Beginners are welcome and if you are more experienced we will do our best to insure that you get the most out of each paddling trip.

Delicious Meals Meals will be presented to you in our spacious main salon with 360-degree view or if you like you can enjoy your meals outside on our cockpit dining table. Your meals will be created with fresh local treats such as crab, prawns, fresh salmon, halibut and tuna. In order to cater to each guests unique tastes, we will have you fill out a detailed pre-trip questionnaire.

Private Staterooms Our sailing mothership has 3 private staterooms to accommodate a maximum of 6 guests. Each cabin is spacious and includes queen size beds and private heads (small bathrooms). Whale Watching The San Juan Islands are well known for their resident Orca whales. Seeing whales from a sailboat is an experience you will remember for a lifetime. If we are sailing, there is no engine noise which allows you to hear the percusion of the whale's blows, the water splash as they play, and sometimes even their vocalizations transmitted through the hull. On our 5-day tour we will take a day to travel along the route where the whales are seen most often. On our 3-day tours we do not have time to actively search for the whales. However, with luck we may cross their tracks.
